Our Story

My name is Penny and my business partner is our daughter MJ; together we make up Humble Bees Boutique. I am by trade a Registered Dental Hygienist and MJ is an active preschooler. Once COVID-19 became a pandemic it was in our best interest for me to stay home and care for MJ. I made a shirt for MJ regarding social distancing and was asked by several people - where can I get that shirt!? That's when we decided to create and make personalized designs. The thought of showing my daughter that being a full time mom and entrepreneur is capable, along with the outpouring of support for a small black woman owed business was astounding and humbling. And this is how Humble Bees Boutique was created.
